Yoshimitsu Systems
A Model 4077 compute core on a dark slate workbench under amber light: a brushed-steel chassis with brass handles, a 良光 Yoshimitsu Systems faceplate, and four hot-swap modules with amber status lamps
YS·CORE · Compute Cores

Model 4077.

A compute core built to be pulled, serviced, and racked again for forty years. Four hot-swap modules, a front panel any engineer can read at a glance, and brass handles meant to be used, whether it sits in a Kyoto lab or a cargo hold a generation from home.

01 · Specification

Serviceable is the specification.

The 4077 was designed backwards from a single question: what happens when something fails and the nearest engineer is light-years away? Every module comes out from the front, every lamp means one thing, and the faceplate tells you the core's state before you open a terminal.

The same standard set by our first core in 2101 still governs the line: no unit leaves Kyoto unless it can be repaired by the people it is shipped to.

Crated for the Ficus sector

In 2123 the SS Mariposa left Earth with nine crates of 4077 cores in its hold, strapped, sealed, and signed off one by one. There was no return leg and no service call. The cores had to keep working, and the crew had to be able to keep them working.
